Work Weekend

Here we are a few weeks ago up in New Hampshire writing the first chapter of the latest project. Good food, great friends, comfy pajamas, and red wine make the writing process much more enjoyable!

Our latest adventure

It did not take long for Jones and Bartlett to rope us into another project. This time our book will have complete sentences, minimal amounts of abbreviations, and it will not be able to fit into your pocket.

New graduate midwives your exam preparation question book is on its way :) The majority of the book looks something like this :

Why did we decide to write this book?
A. We are absolutely insane midwives
B. We missed each other and needed an excuse to get together again
C. We missed midwifery school so much that we wanted to relive it again
D. We are all just over achievers

The answer is B, we missed each other and needed an excuse to get together again since our jobs consume most of our time and we love learning from each other!

Efficient Midwife Update

It has been approximately 7 months now since Efficient Midwife was published. We are happy to report that it sold out at the national midwifery conference and that we are getting good reviews from our peers. We have already started compiling a list of information that is missing on specific topics so if you have suggestions please send them to us!

In these last few months all of our lives have changed for the better:

Jessica has a new member to her family named Burke who was born at home in September.

Meredith is now a full time midwife at a private practice in Georgia.

Lauren also has a new family member with four legs named Leni and she is teaching childbirth education classes.
